Refund policy

At Marty's Furniture, we want you to feel confident buying furniture online. If something isn't right, we'll make it right — with no restocking fees, no return shipping costs, and no hassle.

Our return window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. Requests after 30 days may not be eligible unless the item arrived damaged or defective.

What can be returned

We accept returns on items that are:

  • Unused and unassembled
  • In their original packaging
  • Complete with all hardware, accessories, manuals, and inserts
  • In resaleable condition

What can't be returned

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Mattresses, bedding, or other hygiene-related items once opened
  • Assembled or used furniture
  • Items marked "final sale" or "non-returnable" at the time of purchase

Restocking fees

None. We don't charge restocking fees on eligible returns.

Return shipping

Free. We arrange and pay for return shipping on all approved returns:

  • Greater Toronto Area: we schedule a pickup from your home.
  • Rest of Canada: we email you a prepaid courier label and arrange pickup or drop-off.

You don't pay anything out of pocket to return an eligible item.

Damaged or defective items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, email sales@martysfurniture.ca within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and your order number. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

How to start a return

  1. Email sales@martysfurniture.ca with your order number and the reason for the return.
  2. We'll confirm the return is eligible and send you a prepaid shipping label (or schedule a GTA pickup).
  3. Pack the item in its original packaging.
  4. Hand the item to the courier or wait for our delivery team.

Returns typically take 5–10 business days to reach us once shipped.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we'll process your refund within 5 business days to the original payment method. Your bank may take an additional 3–5 business days to post the refund to your statement.

Shipping charges on the original order (if any) are refundable only if the return is due to our error or a damaged/defective item.

Exchanges

If you'd prefer an exchange instead of a refund, let us know when you email us and we'll walk you through the swap. Exchanges follow the same process as returns.
