Warranty
Every piece we sell is built to live in a real home — and we stand behind it. Our warranty covers manufacturing defects for one year from the date of delivery on every product in our catalog.
What's covered
We cover defects and failures resulting from manufacturing, including:
- Frame, joinery, and structural construction
- Stitching, seam failure, and fabric attachment
- Hardware (screws, brackets, fasteners, connectors)
- Mechanism failure on recliners, sofa beds, sleeper sofas, lift chairs, and any other piece with moving parts
- Finish, upholstery, or assembly faults present at delivery
What's not covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including fabric fading, pilling, and softening over time
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, or failure to follow care instructions
- Damage from pets, children, or sharp objects
- Damage from improper cleaning, chemicals, or unsuitable environments (direct sunlight, humidity, extreme temperatures)
- Variations in wood grain, leather, or fabric that are natural to the material
- Damage from disassembly and reassembly after initial setup
- Items that have been modified, repaired, or serviced by someone other than Marty's Furniture or an authorized repair agent
- Commercial or rental use (our warranty applies to residential use only)
How to make a claim
Email sales@martysfurniture.ca with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos showing the defect (or video for mechanism issues)
We'll respond within 2 business days with next steps. Depending on the issue, we may:
- Send replacement parts or hardware
- Arrange repair at our Mississauga workshop
- Offer a replacement of the affected piece
- Issue a refund if repair or replacement isn't feasible
Your rights
This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, provincial consumer protection legislation, and the Sale of Goods Act. Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes your statutory rights as a Canadian consumer.
